Licensed Medicare insurance professional and author of Medicare Unlocked.

Blake Hardy

I've been helping people with Medicare since 2011. In that time I've personally consulted with more than 20,000 beneficiaries and caregivers and helped train hundreds of agents. Healthcare is deeply personal, and so are the choices you make about your Medicare. Too many people feel judged, rushed, or overwhelmed. My approach is the opposite: clear answers, no pressure, and the peace of mind you deserve — like talking things through with a knowledgeable friend who genuinely has your best interests at heart.

Why I do this

I wrote Medicare Unlocked because most Medicare information online is built to sell you something. Many sites capture your information and sell it to third parties, or push whatever plan pays them the most. I don't do either. I will never sell your personal information, and I only recommend what actually fits your situation. I believe Medicare isn't one-size-fits-all — your health, your finances, your work history, and your family all shape what's right for you. My job is to help you understand your options, not to pressure you into any of them.

How I'm paid

My help comes at no additional cost to you. If you enroll in a plan I represent, the insurance company pays me a commission, but the premium you pay remains unchanged when working with me. My goal is to help you understand your options and feel confident about your decision. If your current coverage still fits your needs, I will tell you. If another option fits better, I can help you make the change. Either way, you will have greater clarity, peace of mind, and a clear direction forward.
